As many of you know, Nino’s Restaurant closed their doors at the end of 2008. We have found a new meeting area for TPPG that should meet our needs. We are now meeting at the Keller Williams Realty Office– 1520 Killearn Center Blvd. It is right by the I-10 interchange at Capital Circle. The office is just behind the old Albertsons on Thomasville Rd across from Premier Bank.

The October 23rd TPPG meeting will be held at Nino’s restaurant on Apalachee Parkway. The meeting starts at 6, prints must be entered no later than 6:30 to be a part of print of the month. The speaker this month is Brian Idocks, a Tampa area wedding and portrait photographer– named to the 2008 Top Ten Florida Photographers and 2007 Tampa Area Photographer of the Year.
The cost of the dinner and program is $25 for TPPG members.
The September Guild meeting will be held next WEDNESDAY September 14th at 6pm at the Silver Slipper. Please note that we moved the meeting for this month to Wednesday to accomodate the speaker’s schedule, but it will be on the 4th Thursday of the month again next month.

The August meeting of the Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild will be held on August 21st at 6pm at Lively Technical College. The meeting cost is $25. The speaker will be AJ Alberra, demonstrating special effects in Photoshop.
All members attending the meeting are required to submit a print for “Print of the Month”, or must pay a $1 penalty at the meeting. Prints should be 8×10 and can be entered into any of the following categories: portrait of a man, portrait of a woman, portrait of a child, portrait of a family, special occasion, other, restoration, or album. All prints must be entered before 6:30 for judging.
